Encountered this book Pierrette’s guide in Paris,\u00a0provided by the restaurateur; found it invaluable in translating the menu,\u00a0photos, dishes explained\u00a0both nature of food and methods of preparation. Conveniently carried into a restaurant — a fascinating read and look at photos of Pierrette’s guide — wanted to steal it, but honesty prevailed<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I bought this pocket Pierrette’s guide five days\u00a0ago direct from the publisher and have used it extensively in my travels in France – It has never failed! There are numerous things which you won’t find in your pocket Larousse – you would need the whole 20 pound Grand Larousse to get this level of cuilinary info. 959 dishes explained, I’m not just talking about the difference with the photos between riz (rice), veau (veal) and riz de veau (sweetbreads) – there is so much more in this little Pierrette’s guide book.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
